Geworin is a product made through partnership between Samjin Pharm and Geistlich Pharma AG, the Swiss pharmaceutical company. Gewodin, a painkiller from Geistlich was imported and began to be sold as Gewona tablet through R&D work in 1977.

It remains the top painkiller in South Korea. So far, over 3.6 billion tablets have been sold, and the length of all the tablet cases arranged in a line could go a full circle around the earth.
